Here's To A New Year

I haven't been blogging lately, because of the same old excuses. I started a new job in October (which I no longer have), I started Grad School (which I am barely hanging in), and I have been ill.

It all began in September, and if you recall, it was about that time that mass panic surfaced through our media about Ecoli in organic foods. Well, it just so happened, I got very ill right about that time. No, not by Ecoli. The doctors are not quite sure what is going on, yet.

I was hospitalized in January for five days. This was the first time in my life to ever be hospitalized in-patient, and I have been seeing the same doctor since I have been 19. I knew he was serious, and this was serious. So, I thought my appendix was getting ready to rupture, but it didn't.

I am still going back and forth to the doctor and can't get my white blood cell count down; so, folks, we know this is not all in my head. It is something. The next step is a surgical consult.

I have caught up on all of my movies, find it difficult to read and concentrate. But, in the meantime, I think I am maintaining a pretty good outlook.

My parents are graciously caring for my 56lb dog, Rosco, that I love very much, and it has been quiet here. Too quiet.

I have received many nice flowers, and visits from friends. That has been great. But, I hate this being ill crap. I am only 36 (soon to be 37) and there are days I feel like I am old and feeble. Limited as to what I can do, because of a variety of things.

Started reading Grisham's novel "The Innocent Man". (Yeah, I know you are suppossed to underline book titles, I am just too lazy). It is pretty good so far, since I had spent quite a bit of time in Oklahoma in my past.

Sorry folks, this is not much of an intellectual blog today. No humor, nothing but an update. Keep blogging.
